The Golden Jubilee celebrations were a huge success on Thursday evening. Close to 300 people packed the school hall and were treated to reflections by former Headteachers Bill Redman and Andy Griffin.
Former pupils and current staff also contributed by sharing their memories of the school. Entertainment included performances by the Year 7 school choir, Year 7 & 8 steel band, Dominique from Year 10 and the Year 11 GCSE Drama group. It was a memorable event with a true atmosphere of celebration. It was evident how many people have played a role in the life of Broadoak School throughout the last 50 years. The Jubilee was also marked with the opportunity to tour the school on Friday morning. Pupils were delighted to share their classrooms with the wider community.
