Safeguarding children must be everybody’s responsibility. Good safeguarding practice therefore has to be built into routine procedures and practice. Nowhere is this more important than in the recruitment and vetting of people who have contact with children.

The Dean Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Therefore, all post holders are subject to thorough pre-employment checks including enhanced Disclosure and Barring check with barred list check.

We have variety of safeguarding procedures, policies and guidance which all staff and volunteers are provided access to ensure we actively promote the welfare and safety of all young people.
