Safeguarding children must be everybody’s responsibility. Good safeguarding practice therefore has to be built into routine procedures and practice. Nowhere is this more important than in the recruitment and vetting of people who have contact with children.

Therefore, all post holders are subject to thorough pre-employment checks including enhanced Disclosure and Barring check with barred list check.
We have variety of safeguarding procedures, policies and guidance which all staff and volunteers are provided access to ensure we actively promote the welfare and safety of all young people.
In line with the GDPR guidelines all information obtained during our recruitment processes is treated as confidential. Personal data will not be kept longer than needed. In cases of unsuccessful candidates, unless specifically agreed by the candidate, this will be for a period of no longer than 12 months to accommodate future applications to the Trust from the same candidate. In cases of successful candidates, this will be for the duration of their employ.
