Summer 2022 GCSE Exam Board Advanced Information

Home / Summer 2022 GCSE Exam Board Advanced Information

Dear Year 11s and Parents/Carers,

In response to the disruption to education caused by the pandemic, the government asked exam boards to provide pupils with a better understanding of what the main focus of the summer 2022 exams in each subject will be.

This information was released on Monday 7th February 2022 and can be found in the attachments and links below.

For GCSE English Literature, Geography and History, arrangements are slightly different. These subjects are providing more question choice than in previous years and the links to the exam board websites explain these changes in more detail. For Art & Design, pupils will only complete the coursework element.

Please be assured that this information will be used by teachers to guide and support our pupils in preparation for their exams.

Very best wishes, The Dean Trust.

History: pupils will answer exam questions on three topics, not four. These three topics will include the compulsory paper 3 on either the history of Germany or the USA and two choices from Crime and Punishment, Norman England or the American West. Within these topics the examination papers will offer a greater choice of questions than previous years.
