Topping Out Ceremony

On Wednesday 25th May we held the Topping Out Ceremony for our new building. This is a tradition within the construction industry for all new buildings. The event was attended by our colleagues from across the Trust as well as local councillors and representatives from Manchester Local Authority.

It was a very special occasion and also the first time many have had the opportunity to see inside the building. The new school is now taking form, inside and outside, and is located just a few hundred yards from where we are currently based. Guests were able to walk around and look at the main features including the classrooms, the main hall, sports hall and library.
Pupils from the School Council were meeting and greeting guests as they arrived and Ms Finlay and Mr Kapur gave speeches about their vision and hopes for our new school.

The building is on track to be handed over to us toward the end of summer, ready for pupils to start in September! Please keep an eye on the website and our Twitter feed for further updates.
